The union representing staff at Ulster Bank has rejected plans to cut back on the company's pension scheme and implement a pay freeze.
Around 7,000 workers will be affected by the move, which the IBOA is describing as totally unacceptable.
The union says its members are outraged by the proposals given the huge sacrifices they have already made as part of the restructuring of the bank.
The IBOA says it will now consult its members on its next move.
