Conferences

As a democratic member-based organisation, IBOA facilitates regular consultation between the elected representatives of its members in the form of Delegate Conferences – with power to determine Union policy – and Consultative Conferences – which provide an opportunity for representatives to exchange views and experiences on a number of specific issues.

At the same time, IBOA is itself a member of a number of organisations – national and international – whose own policy direction is generally determined through Delegate Conferences. These include: Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Irish Conference of Professional Service Associations and the UNI Global Federation.
